By virtue of Law No. 28251, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR) created the policy against the sexual exploitation of girls, boys, and adolescents (ESNNA), whereby the ESNNA code and VIAGENS have a joint action agreement to prevent and eradicate this problem. Therefore, we declare that:

We reject the Sexual Exploitation of Girls, Boys, and Adolescents (ESNNA) in Peru and worldwide, in general, and particularly in its modality associated with travel and tourism, as it is a behavior that violates the fundamental rights of people, contrary to the intrinsic objectives of tourism activity in our country.

We denounce and condemn those who use the tourism activity and the facilities and services offered to promote, facilitate, or tolerate the occurrence of the sexual exploitation of girls, boys, and adolescents; and, based on the above, VIAGENS PERU EXPERIENCE adheres to the present Code of Conduct against the Sexual Exploitation of Girls, Boys, and Adolescents in the field of Tourism.

The present Code is a formal statement of voluntary adherence whose objective is to establish the standards of conduct for all people working at the company INCA TRAIL TOP EXPERIENCE, aiming to protect girls, boys, and adolescents from all forms of sexual exploitation and human trafficking associated with travel and tourism.

Similarly, the people who constitute this Company, in order to take the necessary measures to protect girls, boys, and adolescents against sexual exploitation, commit ourselves to:

  • Maintain an ethical policy rejecting the commercial sexual exploitation of girls, boys, and adolescents in the context of travel and tourism.
  • Inform and train staff about the company’s policy regarding the prevention of the sexual exploitation of girls, boys, and adolescents in tourism and travel.
  • Maintain visible symbols that alert clients and suppliers about the position regarding the sexual exploitation of girls, boys, and adolescents in tourism and travel.
  • Include a clause in contracts with tourism service providers where the common rejection of the sexual exploitation of girls, boys, and adolescents is declared. The following paragraph will be used: “Tourism promotes a childhood and adolescence free from sexual exploitation, therefore, we do not accept any act that favors the sexual exploitation of girls, boys, and adolescents.”
