This is the short version of the famous and surprising Inca Trail, for those who have little time available, but who in no way want to miss this unique walk and enjoy beautiful landscapes and diversity of plants such as the Orchid and variety of Birds.


Day 1: Cusco – Lucmabamba – Hydroelectric -Aguas Calientes

To start the first day of our tour to Llacapata and Inca Trail we will pick up the passengers at 3:00 am with our private bus from Cusco to Santa Teresa about 4 hours where they will have their breakfast. From Santa Teresa 1 hour and 30 minutes more to Lucmabamba where we will start our trek. They will begin to climb through the cloud forest approx. 3 hours. You can enjoy the songs of the birds, and as we ascend you will see beautiful landscapes with views of the Urubamba Valley, through majestic snow-capped mountains.

When they arrive in Llactapata you can see part of Machu Picchu and the mountains that surround it. In Llactapata we will enjoy our lunch in a small local restaurant.

The second part of the walk is down for another 3 hours to Hydroelectric where they will take the train at 4:30 pm approx. towards Aguas Calientes 45 minutes.

In the evening you will enjoy dinner in Aguas Calientes with an information session for the next day. Hotel night in Aguas Calientes.

Day 2: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco

This is the most exciting day of our tour to Llacapata and Inca Trail. Early in the morning, after breakfast at the hotel, you will board the bus to Machu Picchu. They will have two hours of guided tour in Machu Picchu. The guide will show you the main temples and explain many things about the history of construction, discoveries and theories about this Sacred City. After the guided tour, you will have free time to enjoy the extraordinary landscape, energy, and feel the magic of Machu Picchu on your own. Also if you have booked the entrance to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain you will have enough time to walk and you will get different views of Machu Picchu.

When you think you have had enough time to explore Machu Picchu, you can descend to the town of Aguas Calientes. You can take the bus to Aguas Calientes. In the village, you can relax in the thermal baths (10soles) or you can explore the small town.

In the afternoon, you will board the train to Ollantaytambo for 1 hour and 45 minutes. In Ollantaytambo the driver will be waiting to take you to your hotel in Cusco. This is the end of the Llacapata and Inca Trail Trek
