With only 26 miles (43 km) of the Inca Trail combines beautiful landscapes of mountains and lush cloud forests, subtropical jungle and of course an exceptional mix of Inca stones, ruins and tunnels. The final destination of the Cheap Inca Trail Tour cannot be better: Machu Picchu, the mysterious … “Lost City of the Incas”.


Day 1: Cusco – Km 82 – Wayllabamba

We will start the Cheap Inca Trail Tour with the pick up from your hotel around 06:00 hrs; We go from Cusco to Ollantaytambo and then to Kilometer 84 where we will make our registration to enter the Inca Trail and meet the chefs, the porters and other staff that will accompany us during our great adventure.

From Km 82 we start a light walk that lasts 2 approximately 2 hours until we reach Miskay, where we can rest and have lunch. Then we will continue with a walk of 3 to 4 hours until we reach Huayllabamba.

On the way you will appreciate the archaeological group of Patallacta (resting place). Finally, in Huayllabamba we will prepare for dinner and to spend the night in tents or camping tents.

Day 2: Wayllabamba – Warmiwañuscca – Pacaymayo

This day, very early in the morning we will enjoy a delicious coca tea and then we will have our breakfast.

We start with the walk that lasts about 5 hours until we reach the top of the mountain called Warmihuañusca; from there you will have an impressive panoramic view of the Andes Mountains and its surroundings; After a break from the journey considered the most difficult, we will continue with the descent for approximately 1 hour until we reach our lunch area that will be prepared by the chef.

Then, we will continue the tour until we reach Pacaymayo, where we will have the rest of the day to relax, have dinner and spend the night in camping tents or tents.

Total Walking Time 7:30 / 8:00 hrs (13 km.) – Initial Altitude 3,000 m – Final 3,800 m.

Overnight at the camp in Pacaymayo (Altitude: 3600m, 11800ft).

Day 3: Pacaymayo – Runkuracay – Phuyupatamarca – Wiñaywayna

On the third day, after breakfast, continuing with the Inca Trail route, we leave Pacaymayo, we pass through the archaeological site of Runkuracay, resting place and continue walking until we reach Sayaqmarca, where after appreciating its Inca constructions, we will make a stop in a comfortable area for lunch.

Later, we will continue the walk until we reach WiñayWayna, where the tents will be assembled for dinner and spend the night.

  • Overnight at the camp in Wayllabamba (Altitude: 3700m, 12150ft).

Day 4: Wiñaywayna – Intipunko – Machupicchu – Cusco

We will get up to breakfast very early, because we will have a two-hour walk from Wiñay Wayna until we reach the Puerta del Sol or “Inti Punku”, here officially concludes the Inca trail; From this place we can admire the great beauty of the Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu.

After taking a break and relaxing, we will begin the expected visit to the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu; the guided tour lasts approximately 2 hours; We will visit the most important places, such as the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Solar Clock, the Royal Rooms, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Royal Cemeteries and much more.

After the guided tour you will have free time to continue exploring, take photos and enjoy one of the 7 wonders of the modern world. At a convenient time you will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes where you can have lunch in peace, you can visit the thermal baths or take a walk through the town and craft market.

At 6:30 p.m. we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo and from there we will take the bus that will bring us back to the city of Cusco; We will be finishing this adventure around 10:30 p.m.

Return train trip to Ollantaytambo, return bus trip to the city of Cusco. Here ends our Cheap Inca Trail Tour.
