The Cachicata Trail is one of the new hiking trails offered in the Cusco region. Based in the area around Ollantaytambo, the Cachicata walk takes you through high waterfalls, Inca ruins and beautiful scenery. The highlight of this Cachicata Trail is the visit to the Inca site of Cachicata, the quarry that supplies the stones used in the construction of Ollantaytambo . With mummies, chullpas and well-preserved Inca buildings this is one of the most interesting places in the Cusco region.


Day 01: Cusco -Pachar-Socma-Pucaccasa

Transfer from the hotel at 6 am approx. Then we will go to Socma, arriving at an average of where we will have our breakfast, then we will start the walk to reach the waterfalls of Perocniyoc, then arrive at the archaeological city of Perolniyoc, where we will visit the place, and then continue the Hike and arrive at Rayampata lunch, after the break we drive to Pucaccasa camp and overnight.

Day 02: Pucaccasa- Canal Inka -Ollantaytambo

After breakfast we continue our circuit we ascend for a period of 3 hours to reach the Kuichiccasa viewpoint, where we will see the entire sacred valley and the city of Ollantaytambo and the Urubamba mountain range, we continue to reach the Inca channel, Puerta del Sol, Choquetacarpo lunch, after doing we take our food we continue the descent to reach the Cachicata songs, then arrive at the City of Ollantaytambo, Dinner and overnight.

Day 03: Ollantaytambo -Km 104

After having our breakfast we head to the train station (6.45am) to go in direction until km 104 approximately we will arrive at 8.45am. where our guide will be waiting for us to make the walk, once we enter the archaeological park of Machupicchu and go through the control we will visit the first archaeological site of Chachabamba for a period of half an hour (2000m.snm) then we will ascend to Wiñayhuayna a tour 3.00 hours average to reach the archaeological site of the same name where we will have a guided tour and then take our food then we go to the control towards the Puerta del Sol or Inti Punku where we will be averaging and we will have the first sight from the city of Machupicchu, we will have time for the photos and then we will descend to the city of Machupicchu for a period of 45 minutes and we will have the classic views we will take the photos and then we will go to the exit to take the bus towards the city of hot waters Dinner and overnight.

Day 04: Machu Picchu – Cusco

Very early in the morning we embark on the first buses that leave at 5.30 am. with direction to the city of Machupicchu arriving at the average of 6.00 am, and we will make the guided tour of approximately two hours later we will have time to visit on our own optional alternatives go to the Inca bridge or make the reservation for the mountain of Huaynapicchu. This is the end of our Cachicata Trail.
